“The Oscars of the Email Marketing Industry”
This is how Loren McDonald, Email Evangelist at Silverpop and fellow World’s Top Email Marketing Influencer, describes the Email Experience Council’s (eec’s) Email Marketer of the Year Awards.
And he should know — he won the first one back in 2011.
This year it could be your turn. You or someone you nominate could receive complimentary registration to attend the 2015 Email Evolution Conference, taking place in Miami February 2nd through the 4th. Once there, you or your nominee could be called to the stage at a luncheon in his or her honor and recognized for their work in the email marketing industry.
Here’s what Zach Notes, Digital Marketing Manager at Uncommon Goods and one of the 2014 winners, has to say about the experience:
“Winning the Stefan Pollard award was a truly amazing experience for me. It gave me confidence in my email strategy and obviously, everyone loves recognition.”
So what does it take? Here are the basic guidelines:
The eec Stefan Pollard Email Marketer of the Year Award
This award winner will be someone that is currently working at a brand-side/marketing company. They should have been responsible for creating an Innovative Email Marketing Program with minimal resources; or may have achieved compelling results while under significant pressure or challenges from management; or, they might have achieved compelling results from their email-marketing program by making a quantum leap forward in progress and sophistication.
The eec Email Marketer Thought Leader of the Year Award
This award winner will be someone that is currently working at a Digital Agency, ESP, or Third-Party Service Provider. They should either have a positive Digital Client Success Story, or have had a recognized impact on the email marketing community by fostering conversation and/or proposing a solution or position on an industry challenge or issue. Alternatively, the nominee may have had an overall positive impact on the industry not limited to a single topic or issue.
Nominations Close Friday, November 21, 2014
You don’t have to be an eec member to nominate someone — or to win. But you do need to submit nominations by Friday, November 21, 2014. Miss this deadline your nominee will have to wait an entire year to get the recognition they deserve; just being considered for these awards is an honor. Learn more.
Sound good? It is. Let me leave you with one more thought.
Dennis Dayman, Chief Privacy and Security Officer at Return Path, fellow World’s Top Email Marketing Influencer and another 2014 winner says:
